Scott is the CEO and founder of SBC Wealth Management. Having been in the business since 1975 Scott started SBC Wealth Management (Strategic Benefit Consultants, Inc) in 1983 out of his passion for helping people develop the financial and lifestyle strategies necessary to create, maintain, and preserve their desired lifestyles while navigating the turbulent markets, economic downturns, and unexpected life events that can alter that course.
Scott is the Chairman of SBC’s Executive Committee as well as SBC’s council, and serves on the Investment committee. He advises some of the top clients of SBC and works closely with them in attaining and maintaining their financial and lifestyle objectives. Over the years he has lectured at the Purdue School for Financial Planning, the Butler University MBA Alumni association, and has provided financial education programs for many public companies including, Duke Energy, Raytheon, Roche Diagnostics, General Motors, Right Management, and Lee Hecht Harrison, to name a few. As a result of his work with these organizations, SBC still provides many resources to Executives, Management, and employees of these and other companies. He is also a Managing Member in H&M properties, LLC a real estate holding company.
Scott and his wife Debbie enjoy spending time with their two daughters and grandchildren. Travel with the entire family is always top on their list. Scott has been an active race car driver for many years, and as a result of his passion for collecting and showing vintage and classic cars, he now races a 1963 Jaguar E Type in vintage races around the country. He and his wife also enjoy traveling to Concours events where they show various collectible automobiles. Through the efforts of SBC Scott continues to be an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society, the Heroes Foundation, and the Boy Scouts of America.
Patrick was fortunate to be brought up in a home with Christian values and a strong work ethic. He has always wanted to have a positive impact on those around him. Little did he know, this would set the foundation for a rewarding career in wealth management.
In 1987, Patrick met Scott Holley who would become his business mentor and eventual business Partner in 1995. In 1987, he joined SBC as a Registered Investment Advisor representative. Patrick completed his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 1994 through the American College. Upon obtaining ownership in SBC in 1995, he became the Director of Financial Planning. Today he works with clients of SBC while serving on the Executive Council, Investment Committee and is also the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO). He has a passion for the continued growth of the organization so SBC can serve its clientele for many years to come.
Patrick thoroughly enjoys working with individuals who are successful, intelligent and committed to financial independence. The decision to retire has never been more complicated. As such, he finds helping clients navigate this process one of the more rewarding aspects of what he does. He refers to this as helping clients strike “Life’s Balance” through informed decision making.
When Patrick isn’t working with clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and two daughters, Brittany and Emily. He has many hobbies from watersports, woodworking, collecting cars and has a love/hate relationship with golf.
Patrick was a founding board member of the Gary Dudley Memorial Scholarship foundation, and in 2017 he accepted an invitation to serve on the board of the White’s Residential and Family Services, an organization providing “HOPE for the teens and families in need of Direction.”
Patrick is also a managing member of H & M Properties, LLC a real estate holding company.
CCO and Wealth Advisor
At an early age Erin understood the powerful impact SBC has on the lives of clients. As Scott Holley’s daughter, Erin began contributing to the firm while still a student. She witnessed first-hand, the importance of proactive advocacy in family wealth management. Her passion for advocacy coupled with her interests in business and economics set the stage for Erin’s career path. After graduation from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, with a degree in Finance and Economics, Erin became a Registered Investment Advisor representative with SBC in 2006. She completed the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA®) designation in 2018 through the College For Financial Planning.
Erin works with affluent families and individuals as their financial advocate. As a steward of all aspects of wealth planning, Erin builds personalized financial strategies to fulfill her client’s goals and to guide them through life’s many changes. Erin thoroughly enjoys seeing the powerful impact she has on the lives of her clients through collaboration to help them build on their success.
In addition to working with clients, Erin is also a Partner of SBC, serves as the Chief Compliance Officer, the Director of the Investment Committee, and a member of the Executive Council.
Erin has been named Five Star Wealth Manager in Indianapolis every year since 2011, has been a Barron’s Top Women Advisor’s Summit attendee since 2013, a Barron’s Top Advisor Summit attendee since 2018 and was named one of the Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors by Forbes in 2017 and 2018.
In addition to her role at SBC, Erin is heavily involved in the community, fundraising for cancer patient resources in Indiana. She is a member of the Indianapolis American Cancer Society Guild and serves on the Board. She has had many different roles as a Guild member, from serving on the Discovery Ball Committee to President of the Guild. Erin is committed building local cancer resources for patients and their families in our community.
In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Rich, working out, playing tennis and spending time with her two dogs, Brooklyn and Bodhi.
Vice President and Wealth Advisor
Carson has always had an interest in helping others. His passion for the financial markets began at age nine when he started following stocks and learning about capital markets. It was not until attending college that he discovered he could combine his natural propensity for helping people and his passion for investing. This guided Carson to pursue a degree in Financial Planning and Counseling at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Upon graduation Carson immediately embarked on his mission to help individuals and families achieve financial freedom and flexibility.
Carson works exceedingly hard at helping his clients achieve financial freedom and flexibility. He works closely with each client to design individual proactive wealth management strategies and stands by their side to ensure implementation. For more than 18 years, Carson has been educating clients on finance, guiding them through life’s changes, and helping them protect their financial well-being during uncertain times.
Carson’s career began with American Express Financial Advisors in 1999. Then joined the institutional investment management firm, Van Kampen Funds, where he gained invaluable knowledge in investments and economics. He then added Banking and management experience at 5/3 Bank by managing a team of thirteen financial advisors. Carson rounded out his career trading stocks and municipal bonds with Hilliard Lyons. These well-rounded career experiences paved the path for Carson to join SBC Wealth Management in 2010 where he is a Partner and a member of the Executive Council. Carson has been a Registered Investment Representative since 2004. He has been awarded the Indianapolis Five Star Wealth Management Award repeatedly since 2011.
Carson and his wife, Carla, enjoy raising their four children and are very involved in their activities. Whether it is academics, competitive cheerleading, softball, volleyball, or just a long walk, Carson highly values being there for his family. Their oldest son is currently attending Ball State University and is studying special education. Carson and his family are actively involved at Emmanuel Church in Greenwood, The Heroes Foundation, and The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra.
In Carson’s spare time he enjoys being a competitive cyclist and reading financial news. He is a member of the Team Heroes Cycling Team, which was created to support the mission of the Heroes Foundation, an Indianapolis based cancer community support organization.
Sarah’s interest in mathematics and business led her down the path of Finance, but she had a strong desire to do more than increase the bottom line of Corporate America. Sarah believes she found the perfect fit at SBC. As a Wealth Advisor, she enjoys helping individuals and families achieve their personal financial goals and lifestyle objectives. Sarah is a 2013 graduate of Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, with a degree in Finance, as well as a minor in Spanish. She began her career in Corporate America, working as an analyst. After a few years, she was hired to conduct periodic investment review and analysis for SBC. Sarah was able to enhance SBC’s research processes and positively impact clients through portfolio management, but she quickly discovered a deeper passion for working with clients directly. Today, Sarah’s primary role is to financially position individuals and families to meet their lifestyle goals and objectives. Sarah strives to make a lasting impact on the lives of her clients so they can worry less, and enjoy life more. Outside of the office, Sarah spends time with her husband Blaine and their two fur children, Baker the cat and Luna the dog. She enjoys staying active either in the gym, running, boxing, or biking with her husband. She loves a good cup of coffee, singing karaoke, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Chief Investment Officer
At an early age Andrew developed an interest in how business and markets work. It was through that interest that a passion for both the science and the art of investing began to grow. Today Andrew is helping the clients of SBC avoid financial pitfalls and behavioral biases through smart and thoughtful portfolio construction.
Andrew is a 2003 graduate of Ball State University, Miller College of business, with a degree in finance. Additionally, he has received the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, CFA and is a member of the CFA Society of Indianapolis and the CFA Institute. Andrew has served as an Investment Associate with Merrill Lynch and more recently as a Senior Wealth Strategy and Portfolio Associate with UBS Financial Services. Andrew serves as the director of Portfolio Management with SBC.
Andrew enjoys spending time with his wife Katie and his two children Audrey and Charlie. He is also learning to play the guitar, is an avid Pacer fan, he enjoys watching open wheel racing and Golf.
Kevin is committed to coaching and helping clients achieve their financial goals. He has always had a passion for people and finance. His interest in finance developed early in life, with an eagerness to learn how the business world operates. He realized he could best use his natural curiosity and aptitude for setting and sticking to common-sense financial goals by helping individuals and families simplify the process of navigating the complicated world of financial choices.
Kevin spent the first decade of his career working in corporate finance in companies ranging from a Fortune 200 company to a small employee-owned private business. In these roles he gained firsthand experience about the importance of sound financial governance and understanding company value. These experiences led Kevin to join SBC Wealth Management in 2018 where he brings those same sound financial principals to the individual. Kevin also serves as a member of the SBC Investment Committee.
Kevin holds an MBA in Finance from the IU Kelley School of Business. He graduated from Butler University Lacey School of Business with a finance degree and psychology minor.
Kevin is an avid golfer. He is a proud Butler Athletics alumnus as a four-year member of the golf team and team captain. Prior to his graduate studies he helped coach his high school alma mater, Columbus North, to a state championship.
Kevin and his wife Lea are proud parents of two children, Emily and Daniel. Currently, Lea and Kevin are cherishing first steps, new learned words, and tricycle rides in the driveway.
Kevin is a graduate of Wabash College with a degree in economics. He has served for over 30 years in various financial management positions, including Controller for Hyatt Hotels and Chief Financial Officer for two different not-for-profit organizations. Kevin is the Chief Financial Officer for SBC’s corporate entity. In addition to his work with SBC as Chief Financial Officer, Kevin enjoys time spent with his wife Gina, riding road bicycles, hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park, and working in the yard. Kevin and Gina have been married since 1983 and enjoy spending time with their grown children who have settled in the Indianapolis area. Kevin and Gina also have a cat and a grand dog that help provide company for them in their empty nest stage of life.
Director of Marketing and Client Events
Mary joined SBC Wealth Management in 2019 as the Director of Marketing and Client Events. She is responsible for providing strategic guidance for all marketing, social media and event planning of the firm as well as media relations and website development.
She has almost 25 years in the financial services industry with a focus in marketing and event planning. Mary uses her trademark skills of creativity and enthusiasm to help make each experience the most memorable for a client while exceeding their expectations.
In addition to her role at SBC, Mary is actively involved with the Indianapolis American Cancer Society Guild as well as their Discovery Ball Committee where she serves on the event planning team.
Mary is a 1995 graduate of Bethel College in Mishawaka, IN where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. While at Bethel, she was a four year member of the Cross Country, Basketball and Softball teams.
Outside of the office, Mary enjoys spending time at Lake Maxinkuckee with her husband, Rob, and traveling. She is also a lover of all things fashion and loves attending fashion shows.
Jackson’s passion for business and technology dates back to his days as a student at Indiana University. His love for each of them led him to SBC and a career path as an Operations Analyst where he implements innovative strategies to create various business programs and enhancements.
As an Operations Analyst, Jackson is responsible for product development which enables the team to utilize technology capabilities across all facets in the most efficient way. Making an impact from day one, Jackson played an instrumental part in the design of the SBC mobile application and the My Wealth Track client portal where clients can view their portfolios and financial plans.
Jackson is a 2018 graduate of the Hutton Honors College at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a double major in Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation and Sustainable Business. While in college, Jackson was actively involved with Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity where he served on the executive council.
In his spare time, Jackson loves outdoor activities such as mountaineering, backpacking and canoeing. In addition to his love of the outdoors, he also enjoys spending times with friends and attending music festivals.
